Oasys Mobile Launches a “Mobile Community” Around the Cell Phone; Additional “locker” features on OasysMobile.com give teens and young adults a place to manage their mobile lifestyle

LAS VEGAS & RALEIGH, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 5, 2006--Oasys Mobile, Inc. (OTCBB: OYSM), a leading provider of premium mobile media content, products and services, today announced that a new "Mobile Community" section has been added to its popular OasysMobile.com portal to let teens and young adults manage their mobile lifestyle. The new, expanded site now includes an Oasys Mobile Blog (“OMobb”), a social network where users can join a community of their peers, create an online profile and post photos and comments directly from their mobile phone or PC.

Oasys Mobile, Inc. will showcase the new Mobile Community at CTIA Wireless 2006 in Las Vegas at Booth HH in the “M-tertainment” Pavilion, a dedicated section at CTIA Wireless designed to showcase the hottest mobile trends for downloading music, movie trailers, cutting-edge video games and much more.

At OasysMobile.com, consumers can buy, own and keep today's most popular mobile content - such as games, ringtones, wallpaper and more- and store them in a secure online “locker.” The online locker gives consumers a safe place to store and retrieve their mobile content should they upgrade, lose or break their handsets. As of today, the locker also lets young consumers create a home base to share their mobile experiences with friends and family through OMobb, the new mobile community.

There are three things that teens and young adults want to do with their cell phone today, and Oasys Mobile has put these together in one place:

  • “Get Stuff” - In addition to being able to choose from thousands of great ringtones, wallpapers and games without committing to a subscription, users can now also rate and recommend all of the mobile content. As always, at OasysMobile.com all of the content purchased is yours to keep, beyond the life of the cell phone.

  • “Share Stuff” - Users have the ability to extend their social communities to their mobile phones. Users can create their own blogs and send mobile content - including camera phone pictures - to a personalized account right from their cell phones. Users can also view their friends' blogs and photos - all in one screen view that represents their mobile communities. The event-centric portion of OasysMobile.com features photos and a mobile community for specific events such as music events, spring break locations and sporting events.

  • “My Stuff” - Share the view of your world from your cell phone. Users can send people to their personal online lockers to view their personal collection of ringtones, wallpapers, games and other mobile content. Users can create a personalized online profile including personal photos and information and set up a blog to talk about interests and make recommendations to friends and family.

“We built the mobile community portion of OasysMobile.com because our Web portal is not just about content, but about completely managing your mobile lifestyle. These unique and industry-leading features enhance the customer experience, which will help grow our subscriber base and keep customers coming back to the site again and again,” said Gary Ban, CEO of Oasys Mobile, Inc. “According to the latest M:Metrics data, teens are the biggest consumers of cell phone services and increasingly view their cell phones as their very own method of self-expression. OasysMobile.com is the only place that combines the personalization of the Web and the immediacy of the cell phone to let teens and young adults truly make their cell phones part of their lives.”

One of the fastest-growing categories on the Internet today is “social networks,” especially with teenagers and young adults. In the past five years, social networking and self-generated content sites have seen explosive growth. To the young consumer, self-generated content, such as photos, messages or blog posts, are far more compelling than news, shopping or other information on traditional websites. According to Nielsen/NetRatings, sites that strongly appeal to Generation Y are those where they can control the content. Because of this, the top high-growth Web categories are social networking, blogging and online member community sites.

All of the OasysMobile.com community features are completely free of charge with a free basic locker subscription. To set up your own free online locker and begin creating your mobile community, visit www.OasysMobile.com.
